Life begins at the end of your comfort zone, the recipe...
...we tend to create securities, patterns, habits. They make us feel safe. Leaving these habits behind comes with insecurity, fear.
Ask yourself, when was the last time I did something for the first time. You'll realize every new experience, every goal you reached gave you satisfaction. You achieved something you first thought you would not be able to.
Survival Sicily will get you out of your comfort zone, and it will be fun. Meeting other people, with whom you have to overcome the challenges you meet along the way. Sleeping in a bivouac, cook food on a campfire, finding your way using map and compass are just some ingredients.
Some tips and tricks

Information. Know what you will be facing, you will feel more confident. You might want to read something about Mount Etna, camping, trekking. About what shoes to wear, what clothes to bring.

Plan, know what you will be facing. By knowing the goal it will be far more easy to take the steps to reach it.

Accountability. You will be travelling in a group. Together and you are responsible for your part. Tell the others what your goal is, they will give you the extra push if you need it and vice versa.

Small steps. Little steps will make it more easy to reach the overall goal. It is far more easy to think about the four hour walk before lunch than to imagine you will be walking more than 150 km in a week

The unknown. The information you have, your skills and creativity might enable you do the extra mile. But sometimes you have to take a risk to achieve that extra step. Just jump so you wont have time to think about fear.

Stay positive. Experience is what you get when you did not get what you wanted. There will be times when you experience a negative outcome. Negative results are inevitable if you are trying something new.

This week is just a start. Take home what you experienced and learned. Try and get yourself out of your comfort zone as much as possible. It will bring you a enormous amount of satisfaction.
Remember, everything you really want is on the other side of fear.
